Update

This is the last week without daily farm work. The propane heater on the green house is being filled and a semi truck load of soil is being dumped off. The green house tables are being put together and we are all anxious to get things started!  With all this excitement  there is some nervousness too, but I have found refuge in the pages of The Contrary Farmer by Gene Logsdon. 2011 C.S.A. Information

The new year is here and we are so excited for another growing season. Although still pushing through winter we have started placing seed orders and spiffing up our greenhouse. We have updated our 2011 C.S.A. information with prices and current drop sites. Also our 2011 membership form is also available to download here along with our brochure to print and take into your office or to share with your neighbor. One more time!

The Kingfield Holiday market is this Saturday November 13th in MLK park gym. It will run from 8:30 to 1 and we will have winter squash, carrots,  kale, swiss chard, broccoli and a few more treats that are still pulling through these cold nights. We will also have information about our 2011 C.S.A.  Our dear friend July Rauls has left us for warmer weather and will be setting up shop outside Knoxville, TN. He will be missed, but it is an essential part of our plan to take over the world. Thanks to all who have shopped with us this year and even as you read this we are already combing through seed catalogs plotting out the fields for next season....

Although fall is almost here Tiny Planet is still going strong. We are currently picking big and beautiful heirloom tomatoes by the bucket full and the melons are ripening to perfection with a sweet taste of summer. I woke up this morning and realized it was mid way through July already and I had not given a post in some time. Things are going great here at the farm. Our corn is tasseled up, our giant pumpkin is 2 foot around and we have picked our first tomatoes. Look out for the article this weekend in the Minneapolis Star Tribune featuring Tiny Planet. Rick Nelson stopped by and talked to us about some of our heirloom oddities that we grow here.  The C.S.A. is going strong and for anyone wanting to sing up we are taking a few more shares.
